Who is your biggest inspiration in life and why?
Major Richard Winters of the 101st Airborne, 506th P.I.R., U.S. Army because of his exemplary leadership throughout WWII. His story is inspiring and the lessons he learned and taught have had a great impact on me.
If you could have lunch with anyone, alive or dead, who would it be and why?
I would love to dine with Navy SEAL Marcus Luttrell. His story of the never quit mindset and dedication to his team are amazing.
Knowing what you know now, what advice would you give your 18-year-old self?
Don’t believe the doubters. Use adversity as fuel to win, and don’t quit until you’re 6 feet under.
What is one thing about you that might surprise people?
I used to try, compete and teach martial arts.
If money was no object and you could visit any place in the world, where would you go and why?
I’d go to Europe and retrace the action of great WWII battles. This is a big bucket list item for me, and one day it’ll happen.
